West Grand Traverse Bay is the only Deep Water Port in Northern Michigan. With depths up to 350 feet in West Bay and 600 feet in East Bay, it offers a unique variety of fishing opportunities. Spring, summer and fall offer a plethora of activities in Traverse City. The cherry blossoms in the spring, the warm sunny days of the National Cherry Festival in the summer, and the incredible display of leaves changing color in the fall can all be seen and enjoyed from the waters of West Grand Traverse Bay. Tall ships sail the waters of West Bay along with jet skis and pleasure boats.
